Tips on not getting scammed

Games like World of Warcraft can lead to account that are worth some serious money. In China people make money off of farming WoW gold. You can purchase gold from WoW (all though you shouldn't and will get caught if you do.) You can level up several characters or have a valuable account that you can actually sell, although I don't recommend doing so to a person you don't know.

There are lots of scams in WoW, and a lot of new ones I have seen since I have started playing again. The Beta test for Cataclysm is coming out soon and everyone is DYING to get a chance to try out the new expansion, so the scammers have taken advantage of this by sending in game messages claiming to be from Blizzard about the beta test. Here is a good website talking about common scams. http://www.wow.com/2009/06/12/popular-scams-and-how-to-avoid-them/

My general policy in games and in the real world is if it sounds too good to be true, it IS too good to be true. Don't get all excited about some WAY too good deal, and then get pulled into a trap. I know it is hard to accept, but don't trust people you don't know with your gold, your password, or any other things of value.
