Controllers have always been important to me. I rant constantly about keyboards and other input devices, so obviously this obsession has transfered to my xbox habits. Currently I have a pink/purple Afterglow controller which was extremely cheap (under $20) it is a wired controller which for some reason appeals to me. I have never bonded with wireless devices. At first the controls were a little stiff but after some playing I actually really like this controller. Being able to see the guts of the controller is a plus in my book. What I would really like though is the Microsoft pink xbox controller. Wireless I know, but once I require a higher quality controller that is what i'm going for.
